😀 S M I L E 😀
I smile a lot. Many of us do. I choose happy. I choose to let it hurt and then (try to) let it go. I internalise some things. I talk to my friends about other things and for everything else (there’s wine ☺️), I have a really good counsellor - he’s been life changing for me. There is no shame in asking for help and definitely no shame in accepting it. I’m a people pleaser - always trying to be everything to everyone but sometimes, it can all become too much. So for the sake of my kids and me, I take care of myself. I seek help where I need it and do the things that I know are good for my mental well-being. It doesn’t stop me crying way more than I care to admit to but sometimes, it’s just good to get it out. I look out for others too. I try to gauge how my clients are feeling so that I can lift them up too. Though we may smile and not complain, it doesn’t mean that we have a picture perfect hunky dory life. I certainly don’t. Thank you to those of you that have heard me and supported me through some of my darkest times. It’s important to talk. So let’s keep talking. ❤️ #worldmentalhealthday

Who knows much about Intuitive Eating? I've been reading up about it and my mind is BLOWN! Is it the antidote to Diet Culture? Intuitive eating (IE) is not to be confused with mindful eating. An intuitive eater is defined as a person who “makes food choices without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma, honours hunger, respects fullness and enjoys the pleasure of eating.” Few of us are immune from guilt regarding our food choices because of the many sources of “food police” in our culture. IE is about no food being good or bad, clean or dirty, healthy or junk etc. It is about just having the cake if you fancy some cake but not defining that as being naughty or bad. From what I’ve read, it’s essentially eating the way children do. They don’t look at food as being naughty or nice, virtuous or sinful - they just have a bit of what they like. So I tried to give it a go last week and I have to say it was SO REFRESHING! I didn’t overthink anything, didn’t forego carbs with my dinner because I’d had noodles at lunch - I just went with it. So from that point of view, what is not to love about IE? I have 3 daughters- I would love them to grow up in a non-Diet Culture, to just respond to their natural needs. But is that easy for me to say because I am naturally equipped with the knowledge of how best to satisfy my needs, be it for satiation, wellbeing or aesthetics? Where I really struggle with IE is that we know that for certain diseases, losing weight is top of the solution list. However, IE challenges that notion by saying that’s because losing weight has been given as the only solution; that no one has looked into there being an alternative solution. Also, what about the health benefits of nutritiously dense food over a sausage bap? 🤯 I’m not going to write much more about it because I imagine your brain is as fried as mine is from just reading this post. There is so much more to IE than what I’ve written here - SO MUCH! I will keep on learning & sharing. 👸🏻 M I R R O R S 👸🏻 Mirror mirror on the wall, which one of you is going to make me look the slimmest of all? 🤣 We all do it, don’t we? The mirror in our bedroom at home is particularly flattering but if I want a “real feel” then I go to the mirror in Livi’s room. It’s a wider mirror with more natural light coming in. On the other hand if I’d rather live in ignorant bliss, I just stick to the one in our bedroom. 🤣 We have two mirrors up in the gym, there are several hundred more to go up and they should be up by the end of this week. But the two that are up look amazing. Looking forward to finding out which one is going to be the best selfie mirror. 😝 What I didn’t take into account is that I am going to have to clean all these mirrors! 🤣 Still, it’s worth it. What do you think? #mirrormirror #letmetakeaselfie #fitinsideoutuk
♦️ E V E ♦️ What a day yesterday was! I’ve possibly made an existing shoulder injury worse and I’ve definitely developed a limp 😂 but I’d do it all over again (not until next year though! 😂) Had the best day doing something for such a worthy cause. Many of the other walkers had experienced some kind of gynaecological cancer. It was truly inspiring. Fab to meet the powerhouse that is @anniefoulds too! What a woman! 😍 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT SPONSORED ME TO GET ME TO MY £300 TARGET! WE DID IT! ❤️ Repost from @cheltenhammaman:
Dream Team! We did it guys! £1500 (and counting) collectively raised for @eveappeal by walking 25km of Cotswold paths on the Go Red Trek! There are five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vaginal and vulval – but awareness levels of these cancers are very low. There are common signs and symptoms across some of the gynaecological cancers such as abnormal vaginal bleeding. Other signs are less obvious, and could be due to different health conditions, for example abdominal bloating can indicate Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Each year in the UK, over 21,000 women are diagnosed with a form of gynaecological cancer. This equates to 58 women receiving this life-changing news every day. Sadly 21 women will die from a gynaecological cancer every day.
Worth a few pennies? You can still donate! DM me for the link. Thanks for your support!

I once heard Channing Tatum say that it was unlikely he’d do another Magic Mike because he couldn’t bear the thought of dieting again to get that lean and have those abs. Firstly, I LOVED his honesty because unless you’re an athlete (a year round professional), just having abs on the daily are neither normal nor necessarily healthy. It takes a lot for most people to be that lean and often it means A LOT of sacrifice. So go Channing for being honest about that! He said that he was now “FAPPY!” - meaning “Fat & Happy!” Could we love him anymore? (Though you’re hardly fat, Chan!) So anyway, this is where my TAPPY comes from. You will love this @latoya_life_and_style! My dream baby has decided to wait until I go back to work to start waking up in the night. I mean WTAF, Willow? It doesn’t help that I’ve started weaning her for but for real, kid? What we playing at? And to add insult to injury, BOTH the littlest ones have decided that 5am is a cool time to start singing!! SINGING! With Willow thrashing around her cot like a baby dolphin and Jasmine getting all her books out! So I’m waking up tired as anything BUT the thought of getting into my new studio totally takes the edge off! I LOVE IT IN THERE! I love leaving the house for work, dropping the girls at nursery and heading into town to the studio. I’m TAPPY - Tired & Happy. But it’s worth it! Who else is TAPPY out there? 😊#tappy #channingtatum #noabs #tiredbuthappy #cheltenham #fitinsideoutuk
