💙 D A D D Y 💙
Happy Father’s Day to my favs, hubby & my dad, @my_stylish_rents! To the girls’ God-daddies Aidan, Michael, Guillaume, @andy_goss, @tonycook119, @bstonehill & @behindthedoorat.44! Love you all. 💙 To all the single mums that do it all! You’re amazing! And to dads long since past - you are never forgotten & always loved. Now get in the kitchen and make me my father’s day breakfast, James Ryder. 🤣🍳🥓🥞
💃🏻 3 M O N T H S 💃🏻 Exactly 3 months between these pics. Willow arrived less than 4 days later. Weight difference between the two pics: 18lbs. Today, I’m still 12lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight which doesn’t sound like much but I must be carrying it all around my ass & hips (in fact my results from @wellmeasured confirmed this 🤣) as I still can’t get my non stretchy jeans over my butt - not even close! I did that thing where I’ve been tracking my calories for a whole week (except Friday & Saturday because 🥂💃🏻🎤🤢) and was convinced I’d lost half a stone! 🤣🤣 Yeah, no! Gotta keep pushing. 💪🏼 According to @myfitnesspal, if I keep tracking like I did yesterday, I’ll have reached my goal in 5 weeks time. 5 WEEKS! That’s it and that’s what I keep telling myself. When Jasmine didn’t finish her Nutella sandwich this morning, I nearly ate it.. I even picked it up but then I remembered I’d have to track it and it would send me over my target calories for today, as I’ve already planned my meals for the day. It’s amazing how many additional calories you forget you’ve eaten. I’m a car snacker too - I’ve always got a bag of sports mix or wine gums on the go when I’m driving so, for now, there are no snacks in the car. Now I know that I do talk about not being a slave to the scales, however, I’ve been pregnant twice before, I’m body aware and I know my body at its best; I know how much I weigh when I fit into my clothes comfortably. Once I start lifting heavier again, building more lean mass (as I’ve lost a considerable amount during pregnancy) & losing more fat, then my weight will fluctuate and in that instance I may be smaller but weigh a bit more but right now the scales will reflect my progress. Once I fit into my clothes, I won’t weigh myself anymore and that’s a promise. After that I go by how my clothes feel. 😊👍🏼 CONFESSION: I just tracked a McDonald’s garlic mayo grilled wrap. Celebrating a successful parents evening for Livi! 🤣💪🏼
🌧 C O M M I T M E N T 🌧
The two littlest and I have just chilled out all day at home. By the time hubby finished work, the weather had well and truly decided to piss it down and I had zero motivation to get in the gym. It would have been so easy to crack open a bottle of red and get cosy with that instead. Then I reminded myself that, together with @wellmeasured, I’ve set myself a goal and I am committed to achieving that goal. So I had a word with myself, put my leggings on and got it done. It’s this weather! Anyone else finding everything harder? Good old Great British Summertime, eh? I felt tired and weak BUT at least I did it and earned the big steak I had for tea! 😊💪🏼 It can be so hard to commit to any journey - especially one that keeps you in a caloric deficit. 🤪That’s why I set small, achievable goals - so that I can celebrate the little successes and remain motivated. Try it yourself. I even give myself a pat on the back when I track my food for 5 days in a row! 🤣My aim is to lose an inch around my waist by mid-July by tracking my calories in MyFitnessPal, remaining in a caloric deficit over each week and working out at least 3 times a week. Start small and celebrate every milestone! 💪🏼 Tell me your goals - big or small!
3️⃣ M A G I C 3️⃣ It would appear that 3️⃣ really is the magic number - for us anyway! The number 3️⃣ has always been my favourite number. It started when I was younger because it was always just my mum, dad and me. Just the 3️⃣ of us. Then it was relevant because for so long it was just James, Livi and me. Just the 3️⃣ of us. I still made it count when Jasmine came along because there were 3️⃣ of us girls in the house. But now I have 3️⃣ girls of my own and today, one of them is 3️⃣ months old, one just turned 3️⃣ years old and the other one is 13️⃣! Hubby is 3️⃣3️⃣! It’s only me scuppering the pattern... I’m 41 next month! But wait! 4-1=3️⃣! I swear I just did that on the spot! 🤣🤣🤣 This first pic is us today. Willow is needy after having her jabs yesterday and Jasmine has a cold so is acting up. So I’ve chosen to stay inside today and keep them close and relaxed. The other pics are with their amazing big sissy! I don’t know what I would do without her - I’m actually jealous of the two littlest because they get to have the most amazing big sister to look up to. The age gap is irrelevant- they will always be besties. I had planned to start training again yesterday but hubby’s work is unpredictable, so my first session will be this evening. I remember thinking, it’s fine, I’ll train while they’re napping but yesterday I did 2 hours of ironing instead and today, I have Willow pinned to me. It’ll happen and if it doesn’t, that’s ok too. 😊 Anyone else still have a favourite number? Please say I’m not the only one! 😄 #threeisthemagicnumber
