Fit Inside Out

Hey! Thanks for dropping by! My name is Nicki – owner of Fit Inside Out.

Fit Inside Out is exactly what it says on the tin – it’s about being fit from the inside out, with an emphasis on eating and training for good health and longevity rather than for aesthetics. I am a huge advocate of strength training for a number of reasons:

  1. Strength: Your first goal when training should be to become physically stronger – this does not mean bulking up – it means being strong and maintaining strength and function into old age
  2. Function: To develop and increase your muscle mass enabling you to get up, get down and move around without injuring yourself
  3. Bone Density: Our bones weaken as age – strength training helps to maintain and even increase bone density – who wouldn’t want that?
  4. Mental Health: This isn’t exclusive to strength training but exercise releases endorphins and serotonin that are mood boosters. When you exercise regularly, it can reduce stress and symptoms of mental health conditions like depression and anxiety
  5. Aesthetics: This shouldn’t be your primary reason but it goes without saying that when you build muscle and lose fat, what you’re left with is a lean and sculpted body
Don’t expect change to happen overnight. It doesn’t work that way. It takes commitment and consistency. Furthermore, don’t contact me because you only want to lose weight – you can do that without me by addressing your nutrition. One hour per week with me will not be enough. To see changes in your body composition, you’ll need to train at least another 2 or 3 times per week, either in the gym by yourself or via one of my LIVE or On Demand zoom classes AND address your nutrition. When you PT with me, my goal is to get you as strong as possible in that hour but I provide all of my clients with my Ignition Nutrition and Mindset ebook to support your journey, if required. 

Nicki is a fabulous motivator. She has a way of keeping sessions fun and relaxed while pushing you. Her attention to form while working out is amazing, for me who over extends limbs is perfect. Highly recommended!

Nicki really knows her stuff and is a true believer that it isn’t just all about the outside, its about what you are fuelling your body with too, and this is something you definitely take away with you. She keeps the exercises varied so it never feels boring.
